Dr. Amritraj Singh Jabbal – Specialist Orthodontist
Dr. Amritraj Singh Jabbal, affectionately known as Raj, is a Specialist Orthodontist with an impressive list of qualifications that set him apart in the field of dentistry. Raj holds a BDS degree, a FAGE (Fellowship in Advanced General Education), an MSc Orthodontics, an MOrth RCS Edin, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Genetics. His dedication to education and patient care is evident through his extensive experience, both nationally and internationally.
Raj’s professional journey has taken him from the bustling streets of London to the heart of Birmingham and even across the borders to Nairobi, Kenya. He is licensed to practice dentistry in four different countries, making him a truly global practitioner. His name proudly graces the Specialist list of both the British and Kenyan dental authorities.
With over a decade of experience as a specialist in Orthodontics, Raj has successfully completed thousands of cases, bringing smiles to countless patients. However, his commitment to his field extends beyond his practice. For the past eight years, Raj has been imparting his knowledge and expertise in Orthodontics informally, teaching at various universities and courses. His dedication to learning from the best in the field is apparent, as he has been fortunate to be mentored by some of the most influential names in Orthodontics from different corners of the world. Not only has he been a student, but Raj has also taken up the role of a teacher, delivering lectures at conferences and universities, spanning from Chapel Hill, USA to Manila, Philippines.
Raj’s membership in esteemed organisations, such as the British Orthodontic Association, the European Orthodontic Society, and the American Association of Orthodontists, showcases his commitment to staying at the forefront of the latest developments in the field. His active participation in annual Orthodontic conferences worldwide demonstrates his passion for ongoing professional growth and learning.
Mrs. Sonia Keayes – Dental Hygienist
Sonia Keayes, or Sony as she prefers to be called, is a dedicated Dental Hygienist with a wealth of experience and a heart full of compassion for her patients. Hailing from Ireland, Sony earned her qualification from the renowned Eastman Dental Hospital in London, establishing a strong foundation for her career.
Sony’s approach to patient care is rooted in creating a comfortable and relaxed environment, recognising that the best oral health results are achieved when patients feel at ease. She customises oral health programs for each patient, integrating oral hygiene as an essential component of a happy and healthy life. Her meticulous and caring nature ensures that every detail of a patient’s oral health is addressed.
Her journey in dentistry has been marked by various roles, including positions in private practice in London and specialist roles at the Eastman Dental Hospital. Her dedication to education and patient care extends to teaching roles at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital, where she had the opportunity to mold future dental professionals. Notably, Sony spent time volunteering abroad with Dentaid, a UK charity, attending clinics in Uganda, showcasing her commitment to extending her expertise to underserved communities.
Beyond her professional life, Sony is an active member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT). Recently, she also completed a Nutritional Diploma, linking her personal interest in Dietary Health & Nutrition with her role as an Oral Health Educator, providing a holistic approach to patient care.
Outside of work, Sony treasures spending time with her family, including her two teenage daughters. She is a strong advocate for maintaining an active lifestyle, and her passion for exploring new horizons leads her to travel and discover the wonders of the world.
